Today we submitted our preliminary application to Harrah’s adoption agency. Harrah’s agency has up to this point only facilitated adoptions to China. They are beginning adoptions to Vietnam this January 2007. We have had trouble even getting accepted into an agency because of the popularity of Vietnam adoption since it has reopened this year. Because of this, we would be on a waiting list to get into an agency to even begin the process. Most agencies are working on a first come first serve basis. I had heard good things about Harrah’s AIM, and was also guided there per some good advice from a couple I have met from Chicago who used the service. Harrah’s is going to accept preliminary applications and then choose from those submitted who they want to be a part of thier first to adopt with them from Vietnam. We put alot of time into writing our essays and preparing our applicaton. We hope and pray we will be chosen for their program so we won’t have to endure the long wait we originally were anticipating.
