I have been trying to dictate little tasks for myself to do to help keep busy as we begin our wait for travel approval. This weekend my goal is to organize all the paperwork we will need for our travels; copies of dossier, 171H, Elizabeth’s papers, passports, visas, etc.

10/30/06 - Attended first adoption information meeting with local adoption agency
1/27/07 - Submitted preliminary selection application to chosen adoption agency
2/5/07 - Welcomed into Vietnam adoption group by agency
2/19/07 - Registration and Application sent to agency
4/16/07 - Homestudy agency approval
6/1/07 - First homestudy visit
6/28/07 - USCIS Fingerprinting
7/29/07 - MN state process change; local fingerprints re-submitted for processing
8/16/07 - All background checks complete
8/22/07 - Homestudy complete; sent to USCIS
9/19/07 - Received 171H
10/9/07 - Documents sent to San Francisco for authenticications
10/26/07 - DTV (Dossier to Vietnam)
11/28/07 - LID (Log in Date)
3/4/08 - Referral!!!!
6/19/08 - I600 sent to USCIS
7/1/08 - Recieved word that birthmother reclaimed child, waiting for another referral
8/18/08 - Blessed with a second referral.
9/13/08 - Adoption Agency hit by hurricane Ike. I600 submission now delayed ):
9/20/08 - Fingerprints renewed
10/7/08 - I600 sent to HCMC
10/10/08 - Received acknowledgment of I600 from USCIS
10/28/08 - Revised fingerprint approval notice received
10/30/08 - I600 approval!
12/13/08 - Received Vietnam travel Visas
1/7/09 - Departed for Vietnam
1/12/09 - Saw Elizabeth for the First Time
1/13/09 - Gotcha Day! We are officially a family!
