Happy Birthday Aunt Ree!

First of all, I have to start by saying Happy Birthday to my little sister Hilary!  It is hard to believe she is now as grown up as she is as she has always been the baby to me.  Happy Birthday!  Aunt Ree and Uncle Adam will be coming to visit this weekend and Elizabeth [...]

Daddy day.

Today, after again another restless night of sleep for me, Erik got up and spent the morning with Elizabeth.  I got to sleep until 9:00 today!!! and I need about 30 more days like that.  When I got up Elizabeth was really excited to show me they made a ‘cake’.  Coffe-cake that is.  Her and [...]

The boots that were made for walking.

Remember the story I wrote well over two years ago?  The story about the pink cowboy boots Erik and I unknowingly simultaneously purchased on the same day.  Me in Denver, him here in Minneapolis.  The story I wrote about how I dreamed of one day seeing a little girl in pajamas and pink cowboy boots? Operation Big Girl.

(sniff, sniff)  It’s begun.

Today I changed Elizabeth’s crib into her toddler bed.  I know that this may be quite a bit premature, but I am desperate.  Sleep has been deprived for seven months now and I am now willing to try anything.  After to talking to many people on my Vietnam yahoo adoption group it [...]

Millennium Garden

Yesterday Elizabeth and I stopped for a walk at our town’s Millennium Garden.  She loved the fact that there was a pond with a fountain in the middle shaped like a giant fish and real fish in the pond.

Awards Party.

Saturday night after the tournament was over we attended the awards ceremony at the Clubhouse… Sorry, no awards for Daddy.  Elizabeth basically sat and watched the band play the whole time… especially the ‘pianoman’.

I feel like I look like such a mom in this picture… broken sunglasses (hmm, wonder how that happened) and strawberry on [...]

Sing us a song Pianoman.

We could never go to our room without first stopping in the lobby on our floor to play the piano.

This is the famous Nu-Nu face.  This is what she looks like when she is asking for her Nu-Nu (pacifier).

Pool party with Daddy.

This girl LOVES to go swimming with her Daddy.  Daddy is so much more fun when it comes to swimming.  I think it is because in reality he is just one big kid.

Watching Nancy.

While we were waiting for Erik to get back from golfing, Elizabeth and I sat outside the Lodge watching the ice skaters.  It was really cool how they were able to keep an ice skating rink in working order when it was 90 degrees outside.  We even got to watch Nancy Kerrigan do some warming [...]
