I was a little bummed that we could not go to our local Vietnamese’s Tet celebration today, but we had something much more important to do. Erik serves on the board for a program called Dodoma Christian Medical Center and today was a big day for them. An extremely large shipping container was finally ready to be packed full of medical supplies that took six months in the making. Today we went to help pack that container for it’s very long and complicated trip to Tanzania, Africa. And it was humbling, as a family to be a small part of something so much bigger than ourselves. Elizabeth’s project was to use her handprints to help make a poster representing churches that all support this project. It’s pretty cool to think that her handprints are going to be hanging on the walls of a hospital all the way in Africa. If you are interested in learning more about DCMC, here is the link.
And here is a little clip of a girl seemingly back to herself today, and VERY much enjoying her new basement with lots of running room: Basement runaround

What a beautiful way to start the New Year
